Our Water is precious! It shouldn’t be tainted!
MISSION STATEMENT:
We are a coalition of citizens dedicated to bringing information and advice to the people of Iowa about the controversial practice of water fluoridation. I.E.W.F. will be an organization for dissent, debate, and intellectual discussion on the safety and ethics of water fluoridation. Our objectives are to communicate to the Iowa leadership its role of accountability in this practice and to help bring about its end. We will also work to organize and inform the citizens of Iowa about their rights and potential legal options in this important topic.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
4/6/10 Iowa City Council disappoints city. Chooses to continue to fluoridate city despite citizens protests. The fight goes on.
3/22/10 Iowa City Council Work Session delayed to April 5th due to 21 only bar ordinance controversy.
3/9/10 Iowa City Council Reviews Water Fluoridation Policy March 22nd! I.E.W.F. has successfully lobbied the Iowa City Council to review the water policy effecting 64,000 citizens. If you are serviced by Iowa City water let them know! They care about what you think! Shoot the Council an e-letter and have your voice be heard: council@iowa-city.org
2/22/10 I.E.W.F. dips into it’s warchest! 30x 15 second spots will air on National Public Radio (statewide) to bring awareness to the citizens of Iowa starting on Febuary 22nd. Supporting health, the enviornment, human rights and public radio all in one business transaction. Tune in and cheer us on!
2/18/10 I.E.W.F. welcomes it’s 1st international member! U of I allumna Amy A. joins the fight against fluoride from Brisbane Australia. Welcome aboard Amy! Good to have you!
